I was fortunate enough to attend the 2016 Quadrennial Physics conference in San Francisco, California. Over a thousand undergraduate physics students from across the world attended 2016 PhysCon (largest undergraduate physics conference).
During the few days I spent there, I was able to hear lectures from world renown physics researchers including:
- Jocelyn Bell Burnell – an astrophysicist known for discovering pulsars
- S. James Gates – A professor and String & Particle Theorist
- Neil Turok – Famous Physicist at Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics
- Patrick Brady – Gravitation, Cosmology & Astrophysics
During these lectures, I learned everything from cutting edge research on the quantum bounce to understanding gravity waves from LIGO.
While we were in San Fransisco we toured Fisherman’s Wharf and other notable Bay area attractions. It was certainly an educational and memorable trip!
